Please give more details/quotes. I dropped my WaPo subscription when the Bezo brought in the despicable Will Lewis from Murdoch world after he was done overseeing the coverup of their phone hacking scandal then trying to suppressing NPR’s David Folkenflik’s story about that obstruction of justice

I have now spoken to police officers who say they were misled by Murdoch’s empire. I won’t let this rest | Gordon Brown Evidence suggests an elaborate cover-up. The Met must act, says former UK prime minister Gordon Brown

Especially on its editorial page. It has gotten really bad since Rupert’s evidence obstructing Will Lewis became publisher. Lewis should have been convicted in the UK for his role in the coverup.

Next up Bari Weiss will turn 60 Minutes into a woke-killing machine.

According to Morning Joe the WaPo has an editorial about Dems getting so overconfident after Obama’s win they passed a lot of laws that people hated. It didn’t mention the major bill was the ACA which people hated because R’s spread told like it would create death panels. People love it now.

How about an editorial saying β€œTrump got his flu and covid vaxxes: You should too”. Then review all the lies he has told about vaccines just to pander to his base, leading many to death and serious illness.

Dems are still working. Also the Rs aren’t do this just to keep the Epstein files secret but because they want to take our health care away. They can deny it all they want but they have opposed healthcare programs from the start when LJB created Medicare and Medicaid.

I think it would help to use AI to β€œcorrect” your writing then do a comparison/analysis of the results. I don’t assume AI would always be right but the comparison itself would be a good learning experience especially if guided by a teacher. It would also teach students how to use AI as a tool.

When will people realize just how much Trump hates America and Americans?

FBI Director Comey: Emails Were Not Properly Marked as Classified FBI Director Comey: Emails Were Not Properly Marked as Classified "Reasonable Inference" for Clinton to Infer "Immediately" That Emails Were Not in Fact Classified

Can’t you journalist get your facts straight? Comey testified that there were only THREE emails of concern for in Hillary’s email account. When pinned down he admitted that not one was marked classified and they were emails about courtesy phone calls to foreign leaders, not national security issues

US midterm elections: Does Finland have the answer to fake news? Finns learn in school how to spot media disinformation - is that an approach the US could adopt?

…housing? Amazing developments like the extremely promising treatment for Huntington’s disease. Instead of hand-writing about right wing propaganda do report on Finland’s highly successful project that hels its citizens of all ages be the best in Europe at recognizing fake news.

I really wish Chris would do more stories about successful projects like the podcast he did about Boston’s Big Dig and how successful it has turned out to be after years of media carping about it.
We know what is wrong but not how to fix things. What cities are successful in addressing affordable..

Terrible idea. Millions of people are MAGA β€” both working class and tech bros β€” because they felt they were being disrespected by the left which bruised their tender egos.

Going After Gore Al Gore couldn't believe his eyes: as the 2000 election heated up, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and other top news outlets kept going after him.

I agree. The media picks favorites they think are cool or exciting and gives them much better coverage than more serious candidates. Gore was one of the most prepared people to ever run but he bored the media with his focus on serious issues while Dubya was β€œmore fun to have a beer with”. Despicable

When Dems pick a message the media and the left start carping that they picked the wrong one. Then they vote for a candidate who can’t possibly win but who focuses on their pet issue(s). Voting for Ralph Nader over Gore turned out great, amirite?

The agent taunting the woman by saying β€œdo something bitch” is extremely telling about who was the real aggressor.

We have already been inundated with Fox News and other right wing slop. Not sure AI slop will be worse than than that but then I would never have thought millions would have fallen for Fox News’ lies either.

Lawrence O’Donnell pointed out that Bondi’s refusal to answer the question did the FBI find those reported photos of Trump with young, topless women on his lap at Epstein’s pool almost certainly means the answer is yes. If it were no why not say so? Supposedly they are Polaroids so not likely fakes

..but that fact isn’t something of interest to a person who works for the right wing libertarian Manhattan Institute. No public service could possibly be better than a for profit, privately run one. Their arguments are based in their rigid free market ideology not an objective reasoning.

…The stabbing could have happened anywhere. It’s not like that man was always on the train.
Serious crime on the Charlotte light rail is extremely rare and crime rates in the city, as in many others, are down 20% this year. You are more likely to die driving to work..

The media recently had a big freak out over the stabbing of a young woman on the Charlotte light rail β€” horrific but also a freak incident. The man responsible was schizophrenic and, in a society which funded mental health care at the necessary level, would not have been in public in that state. …

THE DESTRUCTIONISTS | Kirkus Reviews Washington Post columnist Milbank locates the origins of the Jan. 6 insurrection in a GOP pivot 25 years earlier.

I agree and so does the WaPo’s Dana Milbank who wrote about it in his book β€œThe Destructionists”. destructionists/
Milbank doesn’t ignore the forces in the party that laid the groundwork for Newt but they usually hid their racism, extremism, etc. Stuart Steven’s book β€œIt Was All a Lie” details that.

Newt also cheated on his second wife with a much younger staffer who supposedly is a β€œdevout Catholic” and now his 3rd wife. This was at the same time he was trying to impeach Clinton for his affair. What does Trump think he could have Newt dismissed from? He has his own companies.

We’ve Seen This Clinton Conspiracy Movie Before β€” And It Still Stinks Back in 2000, I interviewed the late Rev. Jerry Falwell on camera in connection with a documentary film of Joe Conason’s and my book The Hunting of the President. It took place at Liberty University, ...
