Safe travels πŸ™‚ (Are you going all the way back to the UK by train? I've never quite been brave enough to combine train trips with my bike outside the UK yet, would love to hear how it goes + any advice!)

Screenshot of notes app, with text that reads:

Busy brain recently 🐝 and this was pretty much the perfect (last-minute) antidote. The coast path from Seaton to Lyme Regis was narrow and rolling, with twisted roots and cascades of steps: climb up, fall down, climb up, fall down... the closest thing I've felt to the rolling rhythm of single track without a bike. I didn't really think about anything the whole run: just listened to the birds and the pattern of my footsteps on top of the background swirl of rain and wind and waves. Dropping down the hill and emerging out of the woods to the view from the undercliffs was so beautiful it made me gasp out loud. I ate pockets of (slightly sticky-melted) snacks, slipped over in the mud a few times, and ran as slow as I could to still make the replacement bus service back home again.

It was all just really, really lovely.

First two sewing machine projects done!!!!

First the dress (this was tbh very complicated to start with πŸ˜… but I learnt a lot!!) and tonight some self-drafted pyjama shorts (matching top coming soon 😎)

Given a month ago I didn't even know how to thread a bobbin, I'm actually stoked

Ah thank you, I love the print, think it's so much fun! And it's busy enough to hide when it goes a bit wonky πŸ˜‚ Thank you! I'm planning on doing a two tier skirt, maybe with pockets if I can figure that out!

Here's some maps showing where today's winds fit in each station's all-time #climate, in terms of percentiles and "rank".

I tend to find 99%'ile or greater a good guide, with established stations, for impactful winds.

A number of all-time station records set in #StormÉowyn

... and here's day 2, from Tavistock down to Plymouth (and then the train home again). Not so sunny, but very atmospheric woods in the mist!

Photo #1 is me at the finish, thanks to a kind stranger. πŸ™‚

It was my first ever multi-day run, and I enjoyed it absolutely loads.
