In a nutshell- the climate is moving further away from its pre-industrial state because of our greenhouse gas emissions. We need to get to net zero ASAP theconversation.com/flooding-in-...
19.03.2025 03:11 β π 25 π 10 π¬ 1 π 1A few years ago a climate science colleague of mine said "When it gets really bad, they will blame us for not telling them how bad it would be."
Today - Alan Kohler made that prophecy come true in one of the most shameful examples of gaslighting I've ever seen.

29.01.2025 03:04 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0And this quote "...it is pointless to try to separate the citizen from the scientist or to impose silence to create false credibility based on unattainable and undesirable neutrality"
29.01.2025 03:04 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I particularly like the distinction between neutral science:
"science free from values,β compared to objective science: βscience free from personal biases of scientistsβ
I used to think science was completely objective, free from human values and biases.
Obviously, that is bollocks. We are humans who make value informed decisions every day!
