Listen, I get the skepticism about Thatcher Demko missing practice today and we'll see how this plays out, but the story from the Canucks is this is a goalie who is doing the right thing for the sake of managing his body through a busy, demanding schedule.

#Canucks have to know how triggered the fan base is when it comes to Demko and have to do a better job of clarity. I suppose it's all about trust though and the team has to build it with the fans. When Demko comes back, hopefully no worse for wear, that will build trust.

It's a concussion surely. I don't know how they can put him back in the lineup if they are TRULY trying to create a 'safe space' for plyrs. The BEST thing for a guy who has had 7-8 concussions is to NOT play a contact sport.

Exactly why I won't listen to 650, Donnie&Dhali or Sekeres&Price anymore. For the most part it's all speculation, conjecture and projection. Drance's analysis is all analytic based & primarily from "Dom's model".

I used to listen to them a 3pm as well but then... so hard to find them. I'll watch their stuff on Youtube from time to time depending on who their guests are. @risingaction.bsky.social is always a solid listen.

Sekeres is such a conspiracy nut/shit disturber... it's his entire schtick. I haven't listened to them is a while. I like Blake Price though, pretty level headed.

I really like JPat and will listen to Rinkwide post game for sure still.

I also haven't renewed my Athletic subscription... Thomas Drance, the most arrogant sports snob in the city. He's impossible to listen to on @650 as he just can't wait to hear himself spout his theories and will attack anyone, co-hosts, guests etc. if they disagree with him.

Agreed... fan since '82. I'm all for holding the team accountable, in a heartbeat. But making jokes at a players expense & constantly piling on, it's just too much. I don't need to listen to it 8hrs a day.

I'll continue to read up on the team and watch/listen to the games/post-games but that's it.

Almost every 650 show was talking about how to trade EP40. It was F'n grotesque... certainly talking about what's wrong with QH43 as well, but predominantly trading EP40.

Also their tone, laughing at the players, the plight of the team etc. Just feels like arrogance.

I'm just so done with them.

I want to enjoy this #Canucks season, warts & all but I've come to the conclusion that to do so... I have to stop listening to @sportsnet650.bsky.social, @donnieanddhali.bsky.social. I'll still read Iain MacIntyre and listen to the postgame shows (maybe) but I'm done with the gaslighting.
