Well, poverty increasing had a HUGE effect on the 1932-1940 elections putting and keeping FDR in power because he supported people having a wage that would pay for food, shelter and transportation. The problem is that many of the 'center' Democrats are Republican light.

Plus a '40 hours per week' job should pay for food, shelter, healthcare, transportation, and some more for entertainment and savings. I don't care if it is direct payments or if the government is paying the difference and taxing the corporations and wealthy to pay for it.

I don't understand why people don't support a school 'breakfast, lunch and snack' program to make sure kids are concentrating on their school work instead of their stomachs. I think this is more of the toxic 'I had to do everything for myself, so everyone else should have to' attitude. 1/2

It seems like the Canucks don't have enough 2 way talent to cover both Offense and defense, and this isn't a new thing. When the Canucks try for more offense their defense plummets and vice-versa.
