Ford just put every renter in Ontario into an even more precarious position. This is a clear and present danger to the 1.7 million renters in Ontario.

It was drawn to my attention today by a CBC reporter that Sylvia Jones has apparently issued a statement claiming that there has been a 41% decrease in overdose deaths since the safe consumption sites were closed. I found this hard to believe, so I looked at the figures from the Chief Coroner.

I wish that there were some small errors in the following text so that Paul could call me up and correct me. I know I’m going to sorely miss those calls.

This is from the biography and introductory essay about his work that I wrote for his selected & new poems.

The Convoy has always tried to portray itself as a spontaneous group of patriotic Canadians. In truth, while not a fine tuned operation, it has always been the result of a network of far-right grifters and influences that tried multiple times to get an operation like the β€˜22 event off the ground.

Poilievre keeps saying he's going to cut to "bring down inflation," but inflation has been at the target for over six months. It's currently below two percent.
Nobody ever mentions this. #PnPCBC

Saving the CBC is really about saving Canada Pierre Poilievre reportedly has plans to slash the CBC's budget. That would be a disaster for national unity.

Saving the CBC isn't just about protecting your favourite program or personality. It's about preserving national unity -- and preventing Canada from being subject to a hostile foreign takeover. www.nationalobserver.com/2024/11/19/o...

Doug Ford's love affair with Trump and Musk shows he can't be trusted Let’s skip the delicate language and ask the question any sensible person must be thinking: How stupid do you have to be to support a man who’s threatening to destroy your country? What kind of judgme...

β€œThere are countless examples of Ford making bad calls, but two recent cases illustrate this, let’s say, lack of discernment, better than any other could: his support for Donald Trump and his Starlink deal with Elon Musk.”

Shawn Micallef: Doug Ford hasn’t needed a mandate to make major changes in Toronto. So why does he need one for Donald Trump? By framing his election call in terms of needing a mandate, Premier Doug Ford invites us to look back on all that he’s done to the city without such a mandate.

Ford didn’t have a β€œmandate” to announce his US booze ban, so why is he saying the election is to give him one? His translucent excuse offers us a way to look back on his six years of doing dubious things without a β€œmandate”.
