They introduced our projects and reflecting on how participation works best, sharing insights with others supporting the Armed Forces community. Reflecting on the day, one young person shared: ‘I think that by speaking out to the audience I went out of my comfort zone.’

Remembrance is both collective and individual, connecting us to the past and present sacrifices of the Armed Forces community. Reflecting on the meaningful and poignant moments of the past few days, here are some perspectives from our team and the children and young people we support.

While this day brings communities together for reflection, we also recognise that remembrance is personal, particularly for those with close forces connections. The thoughts, feelings and memories it inspires are unique to every person.

This Remembrance Day, we are honouring the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community and all who serve and have served, including their children and families.
