So they're going to do this for one, maybe two games. It'll be full speed ahead until it's 6 months from release and the game is falling apart, at which point they'll pay an insane overtime rate for a QA studio to do it last minute which won't be enough.

I think there's still a lot of social stigma around them tbh, along with most "nerdy" hobbies. Video gaming, anime, tabletop roleplaying games, board games, etc. There's a strong "these are for children" mindset that's hard for many to shake, even as they step further into the cultural spotlight.
