What gets me is that fanfic/fanart creators have been talking about the subject of getting dogpiled, harassed, and pressured *for so many years now* about making dark/unsettling content, and let nobody listened to the canary in the coal mine because “stupid fandom drama”

Minho funnels all of his emotions, especially negative ones, through a lens of muted rage. His positive emotions are incredibly subdued and his negative ones are always tinged with anger.

Minho is honestly afraid of his emotions that aren't anger, because his anger is the only thing that's protected him through adolescence and adulthood, while the rest have proven dangerous in SOME way. Catboy no like vulnerability. Vulnerability scary.

Sometimes, just before he calms down, if sadness is the emotion he's actually feeling, he will feel a brief wave of despair in his emotional clarity, but he's gotten very good at swallowing it before it overtakes him.

When Minho DOES let himself feel something genuinely, he's like a shaken soda can: he will be a loud, intense whirlwind for a short time before reigning himself in again and acting like it never happened. Anger is the emotion that comes the most naturally to him, so he will throw a tantrum.

Minho doesn't exactly LET himself genuinely feel his feelings, being so used to performing others' expectations of him. For the most part, he bottles them up and takes them out on things that wouldn't care if he does, like hunts...or dinner.
