my take is that because dems are true believers in a working government and we live in a 2 party system, their idea of making things work means treating republicans with good faith. trump wants mark kelly at least arrested and kelly is *still* going to the SOTU out of instinctive obligation!

my guess is that democrats believe the government should work and since we live in a 2 party system, their idea of making it work is to provide good faith to the opposite party when possible, otherwise they abdicate their responsibility

i'll be sorry because it's my duty as a citizen to represent my country the best i can and work to make it better but i'm not accepting the nationalism as a viable response to nationalism.
