This allows for radical social and political transformation. I'm not convinced, however, by Schürmann's enthusiastic response to this diagnosis. My alternative is, of course, phenomenological.

I lay out what I call Schürmann's "liquid normativity view", the idea that ontological and ethical systems are in a historical process of dissolution—what Schürmann calls "the end of metaphysics". With this, Schürmann thinks, normativity enters its liquid state, so to speak.
