I’ve seen a lot of comparisons to Mario Kart Arcade GP with just how expansive and crazy the item list in CrossWorlds is, which makes sense since this game is literally being made at least in part by SEGA’s arcade Initial D team

As a Mario Sunshine kid I’m at least very happy I can finally play as a Pianta, Cataquack is also a wild deep cut pick. I like how bouncy they made them

In particular some complaints I’ve seen; the trick system is annoying, the items are broken and inconsistent, none of the DLC will seemingly talk, the tracks just look like worse versions of Mario Kart’s, Jet’s voice sucks, why is Zavok still here, they padded the roster with guest characters, etc.

I’ve just been seeing a lot of negativity and snobbiness towards it ever since Mario Kart World got announced and we all just collectively agreed it’d be a failure in comparison. A lot of comments I see just talk about how bad, broken and uninspired it looks. And how we just want a Riders 4 instead
