Welcome to Texas π
Our Executive Directorβs got some thoughts on what it means to organize in a state like ours, where the politics are tough, but young people are tougher.
Give it a read and see how we keep showing up, no matter what.

28.02.2025 20:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Instead of not joining our communities where they are?? Instead of opting out because people observing the boycott may be green? Like people are here, we can critique the strategy while still showing up for each other just a thought
28.02.2025 20:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0strategy and tactics are sooo important when organizing. And when so much of the online world has chosen to participate in action wouldnβt it be way more strategic to join in or find ways to make the place where everyoneβs eyes and hearts are more effective?
28.02.2025 20:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I just think some people being arrogant about the effectiveness of todayβs boycott do not organize with compassion in their heart for others but instead to always be self-righteous
28.02.2025 20:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0For the record, do I think a one-day boycott is going to make much of an economic impact? No. Do I think that a sort of "Baby's First Boycott," performative though it is, might be useful to make some folks aware of the impact of their economic power, and how it might be wielded politically? Maybe.
