If there was a series in the west released where literally all characters were women, audiences would say it’s woke liberal propaganda. But a series with only women is pretty common in Japan.

In the first game, you have to sort through arts using the D-pad, which is pretty inconvenient when your thumb needs to be on the stick in order to avoid enemies. Many have said this is the best game in the series, but I don’t think I can get into it.

So I recently played a bit of Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition after checking out its sequels, and I really don’t like the controls. In sequels, you pick arts based on the buttons. (Continued in replies).

Gonna be honest: I think I prefer the combat in the Mario & Luigi RPG’s to the Paper Mario combat. I just like the more traditional EXP gain. I don’t like being able to choose only one gain per level up. And I like how jumps and hammer attacks are not made irrelevant by BP attacks.

I might sound like an idiot for saying this, but if there is a cutscene skip in a game I’m playing, you know I’m using it. I care more about actually playing the game than the story by a mile.

A lot of people would like Super Paper Mario more if it was an RPG like its predecessors. Like, the progression system and even the story are very RPG. It just needed a RPG battle system.

Those who claim Donkey Kong Bananza is too similar to Mario Odyssey are out of their minds. The beat ‘em up aspect goes a long way.

I played Xenoblade Chronicles 2 a few years ago and immediately quit the first real mission because I thought it was too slow, so today I wiped my save because I was told I’m missing an item that makes combat better…without realizing I could retread to the starting point. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
