I've attended St. George before and was extremely disappointed when Father Sleeva mentioned that Washington's Initiative 2109 not passing was a reason a donor wasn't giving more money for the parish build and inserting politics into the church.

Pope Francis challenged all of us to be better, more loving, more caring toward those too often forgotten. No matter our differences, His Holiness said, β€˜We must meet one another doing good.’ I join my fellow Catholics in mourning him, and praying for his eternal peace.

I've always been critical of the Catholic Church for many reasons. The progressive and humble Pope Francis helped strengthen my connection to the institution. He had his issues (like all of mankind) but did a lot for his flock.

In 1862, a Union soldier found cigars wrapped in a piece of paper in a field of clover. The paper was a copy of Confederate Gen. Lee's invasion orders. The Southern sloppiness helped the Union stop Lee at Antietam.
It's unknown who lost the orders in the field, or if he was related to Pete Hegseth.
