I remember when The Athletic started expanding, the one market it had trouble poaching from was DC, because Post Sports was so strong. No one wanted to leave The Post. Why would you? You had, arguably, more resources.

Post Sports has always attracted and churned out stars. I regularly see my old coworkers on TV. Just an insane player-development apparatus.

(One time I was working at my desk and was like, who unmuted PTI? I turned around, and actual Mike Wilbon had come in to visit some of his old friends.)

Post Sports is where I got my start. I count myself lucky that I got to learn from that staff.
