No worries! I agree with you. I think we all have our strengths and I hope that we respect everyone and how they fight so we can work as a team. It'll work as long as we appreciate the people who do things in ways we can't or won't.

I hear you. Still, I'm a user on this platform and I won't coddle them, either, because I know how to stand up for myself without becoming one of them. That's just the way I'm dealing with it, but everyone decides for themselves what they want to do moving forward.

Some people do and who did worse is a matter of perception. They're thinking the same thing about us and since we look to them the way they look to us, nothing will change.

IF you're boycotting the Superbowl today, which reason are you using?

1. Trump will be there.
2. The Black National Anthem is being performed.
3. Taylor Swift has ruined football.
4. The refs are incompetent and the game is rigged.
5. The halftime show is discriminating against good White music.

What's wild is I have heard four reasons for boycotting the Superbowl and two of them are coming from the MAGA folks. This is probably why the ticket prices (if I read it correctly) are the lowest they've been in more than a decade.

Good point! I think I misread that one completely! For some reason, I thought it meant someone who tries to act more important than they are. Which, ironically, is probably Musk.

People played nice before? I missed that. I saw people caught off guard because they believed their friends, family, and neighbors weren't going to put such a toxic person in office. Being respectful and firm is a possibility. We can be unwavering and loud without slinging insults that mean nothing.

I disagree with DEI being racist in any way and I understand White privilege (thanks to a video shared with me years ago, believe it or not). But I also understand why it's an odd concept. I don't think that it's been explained very well in the past. OR I'm just a very visual learner.

Who we voted for doesn't have anything to do with the type of people we are when interacting with others. Nobody will listen to us if we don't show the difference. It can't just be with our beliefs because that hasn't worked. Hate vs hate doesn't encourage progression toward inclusion.

We're keeping it simple for the moment! Buffalo chicken dip is the favorite! We have a variety of chips, along with cannoli chips for "dessert!" Pretty sure we're going to break and get pizza at some point. :)

I don't agree that it is. If we don't want hate and bullying here, then we are partially responsible for not DOING it to others. If he does it, report it. But if we do it because we somehow think we're better than them, we're not better than them at all.

I get that and it isn't as if I haven't been on the receiving end of that hate. It takes everything in me sometimes to refuse to become the type of person I can't stand. I refuse to turn into the people I'm fighting against. It's hard and the biggest threat to those of us who want to make changes.
