The basically whole game logic is written in some kinda Unity RPG plugin that DE misues in a really weird fucking way that makes the whole thing a huge mess.

I've had the data of DE cracked open (using slightly modified publicly available tools for data mining it) and whatever joke reimplementation you can think of would be probably healthier than the original.
