There are a bunch of spots in the industrial blocks here with zero sidewalk that people bussing end up having to walk on the road to get work 6 months of the year. Early morning, dark clothes, tired drivers? I get BIG mad seeing people forced to do that. Not to mention the ableism of it all. 🙃

but the new council was also working with a budget that was approved by a different council 5 years before trying to make up shortfalls from the provincial gov., so could possibly be less a lack of planning and more working with what they have. I feel yah either way though, incredibly frustrating1/3

Yay underfunding infrastructure things! Happy Edmonton voted in a council that will likely do better with this, especially with towing and fining people who don't move their vehicle making the blading and removal impossible. Our budget should be 2-3 times what it is for how many KMs of road we have.

Hopefully they won't be successful but there are MLAs that have actively been campaigning to ban it. I remember them also not renewing procurement contracts on time as well but I don't recall seeing much follow up on that. Kinda lost in the "hastening dismantling of our public healthcare" of it all.

Hopefully we still have em by then if you do. 😅 My provincial government is definitely making moves to try and discourage and remove access to it.
