not the main issue here but i'd really appreciate it if democratic politicians spoke out in support of big-city life and culture with the same energy and reverence that all politicians have for small towns

A black and white drawing made in Kid Pix. Depicts a wall patterned with circles. The floor is black with regular white dots. There is a rug on the floor, and on the rug is an abandoned cat toy: a stick with a string attached to a small fish. There is a chair against the wall. Behind the chair is a window. On top of the window is a potted leafy plant. Through the window can be seen trees, an airplane, and the top of a house. Approaching the chair from the left is a black cat.
I lost my beloved black cat, my good luck charm, almost a week ago. I still miss him terribly. I made a Kid Pix drawing in remembrance.

A somewhat scary image of a tan horse with black mane and golden eyes against a black background, framed by bright pink text. "Anyone who says they can't draw a horse denies their humanity. Our ancestors were drawing horses before they developed written language. The act of taking up a tool and using it to carve, scrape, or tint a surface to create an equine shape is an ancient, sacred practice, as essential a part of human experience as laughter, grief, joy, pain. To take up a pencil and describe an animal with crude shapes predated and will outlive civilization."
Tall white transit sign with an image of two doors opening at opposite sides of a hallway with a human figure appearing to run between them with a circle-cross "no" symbol. "Scooby-Doo door gags prohibited." Below: "Customers arriving through doorways are not permitted to run with their arms out into an open door across the hall, only to inexplicably emerge from yet another doorway closer or further from the end of the hall, sometimes suddenly holding a prop, wearing new clothes, or riding a unicycle or bicycle, without first establishing why they're opening and closing doors with such reckless abandon (are they being chased, doing the chasing, are they late for an important event, or perhaps are they hoping to hold together a complicated series of plot threads all of which seem to be coming to a climactic end simultaneously, for example.) The bottom footers appear to indicate this is an official sign of the PAX Metro Transit system.
Minimalist safety signage using yellow, red, black, and white. Title: I WHO BEND THE TALL GRASSES. A white circle is praised with hands. "Glorious Father, intercede for me:" A massive red eye peers down at a figure. "If I cannot hide from You," The eye turned toward the viewer; "Neither can he." A box reads: WHERE DOES YOUR LIGHT NOT SHINE? WHERE DOES YOUR LIGHT NOT SHINE?

The sculpture is based on the Richard Scarry drawing of 6 mice riding in a car made out of a triangle block of yellow Swiss cheese. The little happy mice poke their heads out of the holes in the cheese. It's really cute imo, he popped off when he drew this one. The entire sculpture is about three inches long and fits in the artist's hand.

The original drawing by Richard Scarry. It has words under it that read "Have you ever seen a cheese car on the highway?" No Richard, I haven't, but I would cry from joy if I did.

For today's #marchintosh Kid Pix doodle, we're back in brilliant color! This one is titled "Dueling Serenades."
I really like the effect I got on the river. Too bad the background is so frenetic.
I've been in a bit of a funk lately for *gestures broadly* reasons.
But I managed a couple more Kid Pix doodles for #marchintosh on the powerbook. "Bringing a Gift to One's Beau" (nearly the maximum filename character limit) and "Portals" which is the first one to take as long as it looks like.

In celebration of putting together a working battery for my Powerbook 170 for #Marchintosh, I used it for today's Kid Pix doodle. That's why it's in black and white.
In celebration of March 15, well, you see the subject matter.
A yellow void in which exists a translucent cube. Its front face is light blue, its top face is light red, and its right face is light green. It has a speech bubble that contains the words "Heed me!" There is a white sign with double red outlines and a gray post that has the words "Do not heed the cube" written upon it.
In front of a frenetic background of overlapping triangular shapes that alternate between black and pink sits a pixelated cactus under a pixelated disco ball. The cactus has two blue eyes and two brown eyebrows, and it is wearing two miniature disco balls as earrings. But based on where the eyes are, one might assume the earrings are placed on the "hair" of the cactus instead of the "ears." Black and white sparkles can be seen in the foreground.
I skipped out on the last 2 days, so did 2 today to partly catch up on Kid Pix doodles for #marchintosh.
These are titled "Day at the Park" and "Disco Cactus". See if you can figure out which is which.
There's a Poorly Drawn Lines comic for everything, of course: poorlydrawnlines.com/comic/cactus/
