We have one final metatechnique to nail down.

This is always the fun bit, where the vision and structure are laid out for potential players to read and enjoy. It is usually followed by a series of really good questions to which the honest answer is 'good point, we had not thought of that!'

That's fair. I couldn't see any documentation to suggest that kids web services were using images to train AI, but then I also couldn't see any evidence they were not. I just realise that having photos of me online since the 90s means the horse has already bolted.

Hey folks, it's larp not LARP. Like scuba. In academic circles we fought pretty hard to use lower case letters on purpose. ✨

I'm not sure there are any that examine that relationship directly. Perhaps articles on alibi, as to my mind that is the most obvious artefact of larps relationship with Huizinga ?

The Book of The Quota A book of essays and ephemera from the 2018 larp The Quota covering the design of the larp, the French run, and the experiences of participants and organisers.

Whilst I am sad we were not able to release the script for the larp, I am pleased with the documentation book and proud to have been a part of making it.

Seven years ago we made The Quota, a larp about refugees. It got covered by the Guardian. It made a lot of people angry. It still raises money for The Refugee Council (although not as much as it used to.) It has been translated into French and run there too.

Sometimes I talk to ghosts; it takes the edge off the loneliness; I am now discussing larp theory with one.

“You thought this would fix it,” she would’ve said.
“You thought meaning could be manufactured.”
“You thought grief had a performance state.”
