I can't vouch for Unbroken's performance benefits, but I can confirm that they are best in class for killing hangovers. I'm sure they weren't designed with that in mind, but I have a stack entirely for that reason. Knocks paracetamol out the park.

ARRESTATO A NAPOLI ANDREA PICCOLO รˆ stato trovato con duemila euro di soldi falsi

I didn't expect Andrea Piccolo to feature quite so heavily in my week. On Monday I was reliably told there'll be news soon relating to his doping offences, and this morning it appears he's been arrested for hiding counterfeit notes in his Porsche.

Professional cyclists are tested more than most sports, yup. But that doesn't mean it's impossible to get away with doping. In fact, micro-dosing and short shelf life products make detecting positive cases extremely difficult for authorities. And most riders are only tested four times a year.

And, yep, that includes cycling. Lots of chatter going on within the peloton right now, lots of rumours circulating. A lot of the distrust can of course be traced back to people being vexed by the dominance of a select few teams but the atmosphere is noticeably nervous and tetchy.

I was speaking with someone very well connected in the anti-doping world yesterday. They said: "In a lot of countries it's impossible to be caught. We're not going forwards but backwards."

The feeling among most within the anti-doping movement is that it's facing its biggest ever crisis.

Personally, I don't see the problem. Improved power data absolutely *could* be the result of doping. Anti-doping agencies need as much help as they can get in identifying cheaters, and this helps.

Anyway, three of the four teams volunteerng are Visma, Jayco and Picnic. Unsure on the fourth.

This race is worth keeping an eye on. Rumours (albeit without much substance) have regularly surfaced in the past year that various Indian billionaires are keeping tabs on the sport, weighing up possible investment. If this race goes down well with the local public, a new frontier could open up.

'He told me it wouldnโ€™t get any better than this' โ€“ Simon Yates considered retirement after Giro dโ€™Italia win Brief teammate Owain Doull "not massively" surprised by announcement

There was only really one topic at Visma's media day yesterday: why did Simon Yates retire so suddenly. Everyone expressed shock and surprise, but not Owain Doull. According to him, Yates said he'd be finishing as soon as he won the Giro d'Italia.

Exclusive: WorldTour team owners are driving a new reform project From the ashes of One Cycling comes another attempt to change pro road racing's business model, led by two of the sportโ€™s billionaires.

One Cycling is no more. But yet another plan to reform pro cycling is starting to percolate in the sport. In contrast, this one is not driven by team managers, but by several billionaire team owners. @cmbreports.bsky.social has the latest: escapecollective.com/exclusive-wo...

What's this, @duffofbrentford.bsky.social, the fifth attempt at a reform this century?

This latest project will face the same issues (a non-committal ASO and a UCI who is fearful of losing power) but it starts from a much stronger base than previous attempts. And, crucially, with momentum.

Soudal extend partnership with the Quick-Step team to 2030. Big commitment. "This team is still going many places," company CEO says. Jurgen Forรฉ, team CEO, notes that 95% of the team's revenues come via sponsorship. "This is an unsustainable model," he protests. But for now it's the only model.

This was a key element of One Cycling hoping to start in 2026. They thought they'd have an immediate advantage by being able to share out RCS's new broadcast rights. Alas, it hasn't happened. History tells us rights typically last for four to five years.

Ski stations around the world, particularly in Europe, are investing very heavily in MTB parks and trails, and expanding their offerings in the summer. Some ski stations now earn more in the summer than the winter. There will be less than now, but there'll always be ski stations to host bike races.

The always excellent Marco Bonarrigo has written an article on a very worrying (and expensive) new drug that is concerning WADA and other anti-doping officials. TL;DR: if you've got the money, and access to the Chinese black market, here's an undetectable EPO drug.
