That's why there are things like highly specialized medical tech based in it that actually work and can help save lives. But that stuff doesn't generate big bucks & publicity for grifters & tech bros, so it doesn't make headlines even though it really should.

By the very nature of the tech, using machine learning properly means very small data pools, ones that don't even require massive data centers that wreck the environment & lives and tear through technological resources.

Part of the reason gen a/i results are so shitty is tied into the fact it is trying to use machine learning tech for a task it is not suited for. It is tech used wrong both ethically and in that regard.

I cannot stress how much I loathe gen a/i. Not just for the massive ethical, legal, and environmental problems it causes, but because it hijacking all conversations about machine learning tech has (understandably but regrettably) turned some people against all machine learning tech.

I'm torn. 1982 horror film House on Sorority Row is kind of a cult classic, but its 2009 loose remake Sorority Row, while worse, also has Carrie Fisher brandishing a shotgun.

That's why I'll never use gen a/i despite the fact I can not draw. Respect those who can do what you can not and their talent. Fuck gen a/i. If you can't draw or write or whatever, hire an actual person who can. Have someone do for you what you can't do and support them in the process.

Genius can come from anywhere, but everyone also has things they can do and things they can't do. So people also need each other.

The theme is still an important message, though. "Never make assumptions about what someone could be skilled at based on the background. Someone highly skilled at a specific talent could be anyone. They could come from anywhere. And that is beautiful. Support people pursuing their dreams."

I really don't like it when people wrongly state that Ratatouille theme is that "anyone can learn to do something". Because that's not the theme and not true about the real world. My hands shaking minutely when I hold a pen or pencil means despite effort and trying to learn, I still can't draw.
