It wasn't one of my first RPGs(those would be Dragon Quest/Warrior 1 and Final Fantasy 1), but Final Fantasy IV(as Final Fantasy 2) was the first where I really realized that a video game's story and characters could be just as good and in-depth as those in a film or book.

It's a shame that throwing subtlety out the damn window is now often a necessity to get through to idiots.

Mind you, I LIKE the regularly occuring lack of subtlety in One Piece and Kojima games.

Kinda like how Hideo Kojima has done with his games, Metal Gear especially, as the series went on. Sometimes, you gotta hit willfully ignorant dumbasses over the head with that kinda stuff so they can't plausibly deny its existence.

When it bursts, those companies will take quite a hit, but it almost certainly isn't gonna be the people responsible who will deal with the consequences. And that is maddening to think about.

Sadly, some of the companies profiting off of it are far too rich for the executives who were the ones who actually decided to use/invest in it to suffer any major consequences when the bubble bursts. Microsoft, Google, Amazon, etc.

Few things piss me off as much as people who want to punish others for being poor while also not wanting to do anything to help people out of poverty, like making companies pay people a decent living wage. And making enough to be able to afford entertainment IS part of a decent living wage, BTW.

Plus, that could potentially give other series a better chance to find an audience and reduce the unceremonious cancelations that are far too common now, too.

It's not ideal, but if it lets Oda take more breaks for his health without having to worry about the anime catching up to the manga, that's at least a good thing.
I think Shonen Jump should have 2 sets of content, alternating between the 2 sets weekly so as to not overwork anyone anyway, after all.

The 2005 House of Wax makes far more sense as a Tourist Trap remake and works better as one than it does as a House of Wax remake.

This. I mean, Discworld and One Piece are RIGHT there, to name two fantasy series that fit that are 41 books and (currently) 1163 chapters/112 volumes/1146 episodes respectively.
