Continuing the series, praising medical innovation here in NE, in particular fertility research at @scienceatlife.bsky.social which is celebrating 25 years.
The beer is golden, with malty & cereal base, light caramel notes with a sweet finish. Very refreshing & quaffable ale!

Farne Island is once again available in 440ml cans (as well as 500ml bottles). A traditional style English bitter, well-rounded and perfectly balanced malt and hops bring flavours of sweet biscuits, resinous pine, and a delicate spice

'The Rose' is one of eight 330ml specials we released last June to commemorate our 30th year in brewing. It's a traditional English barley wine with an abv of 9%, boasting rich flavours with malt sweetness, dried fruits, and caramel on the palate.

📢NEW CASK SPECIAL
⛏️ Ingrained in the fibres of North-East, our next special recognises coal mining in the region. Black IPA with Idaho 7®, Columbus & Superdelic™ hops to bring aromas of citrus, cherry, and spice. Flavours are balanced with a nutty base, w/ notes of spice, pine, resin, and liquorice.

This extra special bitter blends old and new, with a pleasant aroma of candied orange and melon. A base of traditional malts and a touch of rye produce a warming cereal flavour, enhanced further with grape and gooseberry notes imparted by Nelson Sauvin™, Nectaron®, and Harlequin® hops.

🥇 Very chuffed to announce we came 1st place in the Newcastle Beer & Cider Festival BOTB last night with 'Things Can Only Get Bitter', brewed exclusively for the competition.

Try it at the fest over the weekend, or, it'll be available in a handful of pubs around the region shortly!
