...And with WotC execs with dollar signs in their eyes, a good way to shift more books, I'd imagine. People see the Ravenloft episode, think "that's cool," then pick up Van Richten's Guide. 🤑 Everybody wins.

Random thought: a D&D TV show but it's an anthology. Each episode is a different D&D setting. One is Forgotten Realms. One is Ravenloft. Eberron. Dragonlance. Etc. Each with its own group of adventurers, world, native species', etc. Would be a good way to showcase all the different settings.
