Take a minute to appreciate how deep the bench of talent was in the cast of the INDIAN SUMMER (1993).

The Murder of The Washington Post
Todayβs layoffs are the latest attempt to kill what makes the paper special.
Yesterday, I was wet-eyed (obvi) on the Metro, wearing my Post beanie (obvi), and a woman, a stranger, leaned over and hugged me.
Which is to say: The entire city understands the scope of this devastating tragedy⦠www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...

https://collections.artsmia.org/art/136482/stoops-in-snow-martin-lewis :
Published in 1930, Stoops in Snow is a tour-de-force of Lewisβs intaglio printmaking oeuvre, a perfect balance of compositional originality and technical virtuosity. Depicting an ephemeral moment in the life of the city, the scene features several men and women walking beside a row of brownstones, heads bowed, bundled against the driving wind, cold, and snow of a New York blizzard. As in many of Lewisβs urban scenes, people and architecture are its principal subjects, but here the printβs aesthetic and conceptual qualities largely derive from the pictorial effects of light and weather conditions. Lewisβs masterful interpretation of wind driven snow accumulating on the cityβs streets, sidewalks, and open-air stairs plays on the viewerβs memory and recognition to convey the raw sensations of a winter storm. Additionally, there is an unmistakable air of mystery in the sceneβs fleeting activity, a sense that the city is alive with stories large and small, mostly hidden from view.
Martin Lewis, 'Stoops in the snow' (1930)
