This week was International Fairy Day, I can’t think of a better time to post Fairy King Danaan! I’m so happy I was able to shoot this costume, but unfortunately immediately afterwards I threw it in the trash. The weight of the wings hurt, the entire costume was rather painful to wear.

Deeper themes of religion and capitalism, feminism and queer identity will hopefully be picked up and explored in later work🙏🏻

There’s themes and elements I couldn’t include due to time constraints, but for what I could do, it turned out nice as a wearable collection, if not an artistic performance type of collection like the initial concept deserves.

I loved these designs and hope to make them someday, but now that the deadline rush has passed I wish I had more time for research and development.
