These look delicious. And I love that you tried a new way! If you used unsalted butter or lard/crisco then perhaps the mix alone is too salty. You could..in a pinch add a tiny bit of sugar to offset the salt. But you already know what I'm gonna say. From scratch is best 😉❤️😋
