agree with everyone mentioning the great character designs & writing... in particular i love how the basketball games are used to give the characters depth. they all have a clear personality outside the game, but the competition reveals deeper layers of them & doesn't always play to type

i'm def no expert, but maybe try adding just one thing at a time? stuff like mascara and lipstick are way quicker & easier to do than eyeliner or nails, and they can still look great without the full makeup suite
