From what I read on Reddit, just about the only way to get in was to completely close out the game after the event started and then log back in.

Yeah. It showed up in both public lobbies. It's weird, Kang & Kodos show up every time, no matter what, but the tree doesn't.

I tried a bunch of times and the tree & countdown clock never spawned in a bot lobby. One round, I could see the tree and clock from the bus but it disappeared as soon as I dropped.

Okay... I guess it didn't want to load into the bot lobby. I started a regular lobby and could see it. Got wiped out before I got to it but at least I could see it and the countdown clock.

Yep. Just checked again and nothing. I can see the cracked rocks that match the images but it just isn't there.

I'm so confused. Last night, I went to where the tree is supposed to be but it wasn't there. I know it was the right spot because I even got credit for the Energy Anomaly Story quest.
