OMG, how have I not realized after watching her in 4 seasons of SLOW HORSES that Shirley is played by the same actress who played Sophie in DETECTORISTS? Maybe because Sophie was only in one season? I don’t know. She plays Shirley’s frumpiness so well, that this connection to Sophie was never made.

A slice of marionberry crumble ala mode

There’s a restaurant/bakery in Oregon called HEAVEN ON EARTH that I stop at on those occasions I’m driving up there. The place smells like Christmas. Last time I was there I tried their Marionberry crumble, and it was fantastic. Might have to buy an entire pie to take home next time I’m there.

I picked up the three volume, hardback collection last year - it had been in my queue for years, but always around $200. One day it was available for $80, and I jumped on it. They’re beautiful books, but an actual workout to read. Each volume weighs about 16lbs.
