I've come up with a different tactic to fight the 'you need bariatric surgery' comments.

I tell every new doctor I meet, "Weight loss is like Bruno; we don't talk about it."

I've been in starvation mode one way or another for 25+ years.

I've been to treatment half a dozen times.

Doctors still tell me to get weight loss surgery.

I laugh at how ridiculous they are. Doc, I can starve myself for free.

I watched The Biggest Loser doc.

It's exercise bulimia. Pure and simple.

The "contestants" were all sent home with fucked up metabolisms stuck in starvation mode.

Starvation mode is impossible for some people to escape. Some bodies CAN'T recover from it.

I understand why the admissions department would need to test an applicant's capabilities and dedication, but not like this.

I was finally applying to a graduate program for mental health sciences when I noticed the essay questions were very odd and invasive.

We don't know each other like that. Not yet.

I showed the prompts to my therapist, and they even said "Wow, these questions are triggering."

Vets, etc have no idea what a 'pet' means to a family. They could be a companion, a medical lifeline, or like a child.

Don't say he probably had cancer somewhere to make us feel better.

So he's been in intense pain, and I didn't know? Thanks for the blow to my emotions.

My wife and I did the right thing. Our bunny's body was failing. We knew this day would come.

We don't believe in forcing an animal to suffer because we can't say goodbye.

Our boy lived a good, long life.Now, he's with his sister again.
