Landscape format in acrylic on canvas panel. View down cobble slipway or ramp to bay. Water is pale blue with grey stone pier on right continuing on straight, and wave wall on left which together with pier forms channel from ramp. Cobbles rendered in blues, greens and purples have yellow markings in series of short horizontal parallel lines and two white lines guiding down towards water. On left is small white storage hut with four full-size doors in primary red, yellow, blue and green. On the far side of the bay is a narrow horizontal strip of low hills rendered in a sort of lilac blue which contrasts with the paler water and sky. The sky is painterly cloudy turquoise broken left of centre by a tall post with two lamps rising from behind a stone wall that adjoins the multi-doored huts. Signed top right in red, Liam Daly

View front on from across river at a horizontal central band of 11 buildings, a mixture of modern and old, ranging from 2 stories to 4 stories, and all joined together except for a gap in the middle where there is a narrow side street beside the Ha'penny Bridge Inn. Behind the line of buildings in the centre is the large modern block with alternating horizontal stripes of concrete and dark glass topped with a glass roof on a wider strip of concrete from which dark metal arms in 2 pairs hang down each side gripping the building. Until relatively recently this building was the Central Bank of Ireland. The buildings along the quay are creams and oranges and pale grey-greens, and a couple of red-brick buildings at the right end. The river wall of granite blocks is rendered in warm greens and browns with a line of dark green seaweed hanging along near the water. The sky is a pure very pale turquoise. The whole scene is reflected only slightly rippling in the river punctuated by streaks of very pale lighted turquoise water. Signed bottom right in dark blue, Liam Daly

Have yourself a #painting. "Wellington Quay, East" was painted because I stare so much at Dublin's quays. If you're not overly familiar with the centre of Dublin, or even if you are, this particular scene is right between two of its pedestrian bridges including a rather iconic one. #art #SpeirGhorm

Foreground is limestone karst in very pale shades of lilac and blue-grey, then long rough yellow-green grass before a dry stone wall running horizontally which dips in the middle showing full narrow white trunk of small tree leaning to the right and topped with a clump of scant green foliage with touches of red. Stones in walls are rendered in pale blue with dark blue shadows and crevices. They show a long narrow side facing viewer and mostly upright or tilted. Behind the tree are wide areas of flat lilac-grey karst, likes fields of stone, with dry stone walls running across and some dark green bushes until along the horizon a strip of low blue-green hills with some darker trees and hedgerows smudged in. Have a #painting. "Burren Tree" is from 6 years ago. I painted it because I love stones, let alone fields of stone. And I really like walls. You know where you stand with a wall. Sometimes the dry stone ones fall down a little, but if that gives you a better view of a tree, great. #art #SpeirGhorm

I’ve never asked would he like this that or the other. I’m all eat it don’t eat it. I’m not running a restaurant although I’ve 2 fussy big sons at home one who just doesn’t eat veg and the other a vegetarian who doesn’t like veg 🤷‍♀️

Jim hated mushrooms or so he thought 😁
He’d never eaten any but now is a huge fan of buttery garlic mushrooms on toast or in pasta with lemon zest and garlic breadcrumbs 🤷‍♀️

I haven’t made it off the sofa yet but I have had 2 coffees a croissant and some peanut butter cookies..not the worst start to the day 😁

When we married my husband hadn’t knowingly eaten spinach or broccoli or cabbage.. I did not know this so I just served it and back in the day he ate it as he didn’t want to offend me 😂
His mum later told me he was a vegetable refuser except for spuds 🤭

You could always get up and do yourself a tray then take it back into bed and relax ☺️

I regularly sneak spinach into soups and curries ..he’s still not on to me 😛

I was going to suggest saag paneer which I would eat all day but if someone doesn’t eat spinach…🫤
