What's your "I recommend to everyone" movie?
19.01.2026 13:49 β π 22 π 3 π¬ 2 π 4agree, it was good I waited this long, lol... I had forgotten anything I saw in the trailer...
10.01.2026 21:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0initially I was a bit put off by the style of 28 YEARS LATER but the movie won me over, I really liked it... :)
10.01.2026 21:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Great to hear! π
10.01.2026 14:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Turned in my old bass guitar for a renovation, its now in better condition than when I bought it ages ago, has been collecting dust in the basement forever. Gonna lay down some riffs.
10.01.2026 12:07 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think maybe mostly the air went out of these social media platforms a bit for me & IΒ΄m not on here as much, I do miss it at times, but also... you know, haha... I hope things are good on your end.
10.01.2026 07:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Things have been good, just don't have the time I used to to watch movies & when they are so underwhelming at times, it takes more to sit down and give one a chance. But I had a great time with my Bud Spencer/Terrence Hill run, Hellzapoppin, Cloud, Isolated, the #TankTuesday stuff & V-cinema box :D
10.01.2026 07:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0that is one wonderful mix of movies! :D
10.01.2026 07:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Here are some of my favorite first time watches of 2025.
03.01.2026 20:57 β π 9 π 3 π¬ 1 π 2There is plenty I still need to see but here are my favorite movies of 2025 in no particular order.
02.01.2026 22:28 β π 14 π 2 π¬ 1 π 1Oh cool!
Can I see 28 Years Later without seeing the second installment in the series? And I need to get to One Battle After Another...
I did, it was on my best action movies on the year list: bsky.app/profile/acti...
I think the best things movie wise in 2025 was the Anime movies I managed to see in a cinema, Chainsaw Man, Demon Slayer and rewatching Akira and Princess Mononoke, absolutely stunning all of them... otherwise I guess music and life took centerstage :D
09.01.2026 23:51 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Doin #LetterboxdFriday IΒ΄ve kind of settled with that I don't watch movies like I used to, but managed to see one here and there:
09.01.2026 23:08 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Mural Crown returns and releases an album of the year contender already on 1 January!
Once again seemingly recorded from within a tumble dryer from across the hall their rudimentary metal fragments peek through...

It makes for an interesting perspective togerher with Fury and T-34
07.01.2026 12:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thereβs not much action but the Tiger is looming over the whole film! Some great scenes.
07.01.2026 11:40 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0#TankTuesday makes a suprise comeback with DER TANK (2025). Lapses into student film territory at times & shows signs of a limited budget but overall I had a good time with it, has some atmosphere, lots of fog machine & plenty of the central Tiger tank.
06.01.2026 19:37 β π 6 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0#Cyborguary is up and running with SIXTY MILLION DOLLAR MAN! Silly Stephen Chow hijinks, the cyborg related stuff doesn't even appear until 50 minutes in.
04.01.2026 19:01 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Oh wowβ¦ about hundreds of action movies I should have probably considered for my year end list π π
01.01.2026 11:51 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 05. Tamura Yuto: ISOLATED (Hiroyuki Tsuji)
"ISOLATED triumphs past biases and preconceived notions of what constitutes good or bad, wielding reduction and generosity, honing in on action cinema as a sheer joy of purity."
4. Havoc (Gareth Evans)
Tremendous robust action movie making; sculpted from genre blocks mauled by motion & texture; artifice & stylization clashing against noise & chaos.
3. Reflection in a Dead Diamond (Hélène Cattet, Bruno Forzani)
Fragmented memories and/or fantasies of Bond/Eurospy formalist swagger pulp perversions.
2. Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc (Tatsuya Yoshihara)
Damaged reaching out love story & total sensory overload action cinema bliss, a beautiful & intense experience, I loved this.
Favorite Action Movies of 2025:
1. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle (Haruo Sotozaki)
Structured as one long multi layered action sequence with a flashback structure within action beats telling a gripping story, emotional, huge & pure in its action movie approach.
Happy New Year everyone.
31.12.2025 23:08 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It's here! The 2025 Action Cinema recap!

Wht I heard about The Hidden Sword was that they demanded recuts and he just wasn't interested in doing that, the intrusion it would be, but have no great source on that, so who knows, seems plausible, bit of an irony it being a "hidden sword".
20.12.2025 00:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Gonna get back to my favorite metal releases of the year if anyone is interested, & while there is some great releases I gotta note that there was a time when Black Metal felt "dangerous"/"authentic"/"real", I'm ofc talking about the problematic & Reprehensible, Graveland in particular.
20.12.2025 00:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Probably peak Action Anders so far:
