Early days for the show, but this is likely the best episode ER ever produced.

She's still not 25 (her birthday is on Christmas day) and she's just dropped this excellent debut solo EP. She's oing to go far, I can't wait to hear what's next.

Angelina 1/3 is pretty remarkable. From what I hear, she got to join her favourite band, Gacharic Spin, as a dancer, aged 18. Turned out she was talented in other areas too and they gave her some vocal duties. She did well with those, is a total charisma bomb and now she's one of their lead singers

I'm a day late, but yesterday was the 40th birthday of the great Sakura Ando. For my money, if not the most talented actress of her generation, she's in the conversation. Here you can watch her incredible performance in We'll Keep Walking, That's All (with English subs)

If she's got something lined up that looks middling but baity, look out.

She'll get her Oscar eventually. For something she's...okay in. The year after she she delivers career best work.

Same thing happened to me at City of the living Dead (though not on my birthday). It was first on a triple bill with the other gates of Hell films. I did not stay for The Beyond.

I don't think I've seen anything past about season 10, aside from the movie, though I'm told I don't need to but...

Miranda July's The Future comes to mind. I fucking HATED Me and You And Everyone We Know, but a friend talked me into joining him for it at London Film Festival (a press show, so happily all it cost was time). I told him I felt like I'd aged a decade by the time we left.

My Complete Film Collection [# - D] My attempt at making a single complete list of my film collection got so big it was unwieldy to edit, so I'm going to do it in sections.

I'm attempting to make a definitive, complete, list of the films I have on physical media. As far as I can tell this, Part 1 of 4, which covers titles from Numbered to D, is complete (until I next go outside)

I like that they all have different spins on the idea and are all related rather than being remakes. The anime, canon wise, is a sequel to the Obayashi, and apparently the 2010 live action film follows the cousin of the protagonist of the anime.

I have a bunch. Back to the Future and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade are childhood faves that I'll always make people watch, then there's the GOATs - The Last Picture Show and Badlands.

There are more.

I've seen three versions of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time: the Obayashi; Mamoru Hosoda's anime and Masaaki Taniguchi's 2010 live action adaptation (which stars Riisa Naka, who voices the anime). I've also read the novella.

I HIGHLY recommend EVERY version.
