Is it better to eliminate the speeding cameras and let the police handle the speeders? There are pros and cons to doing so. I doubt the Premier gave it much thought.

Receiving a speeding ticket from a police officer is a different matter altogether. Even if you manage to plead down to avoid demerit points, your insurance premiums will go up.
