The last 24 hour news cycle has been so depressing, taking a break from Twitter. I need to be reminded of things that are not depressing, stressful, or existential threats

So, to be clear, Musk has now admitted he funded a man he believes to be a pedophile to be president.

And Trump has now admitted that he gave access to high level government secrets to a man he believes to be a big time drug addict.

This should be *the* story on the Sunday shows tomorrow.

It’s pretty easy for people to get away with advancing a malicious agenda if they just pretend they’re Not Doing That and How Dare Anyone Suggest That and if people outside their target population aren’t willing to call out their dishonesty

Just insane that the left treated the tech industry with increasing hostility just because they undermined organized labor, flouted the regulatory state, and bragged that they were going to get rid of everybody's jobs for a decade straight.

bluesky is still struggling to be a place where i can hear about breaking news and, maybe more importantly, breaking memes. it has its own memes for sure, but it is, for better or worse, detached from a broader internet culture, and i'm hoping that will change
