PS last month we had over 5.2 million people out. This time, bring a friend and letβs double our numbers!
Many of us are struggling with a desperate sense of urgency while it seems so many others are asleep. It was 2.5 years from the Boston Tea Party to the Declaration of Independence. We've had 3 months. That war was won because day after day, people chose to keep going
Keep going friends. Goodnightπ
πHold on, goddammit: If tariffs are so good for our economy, why doesn't the White House want us to see what they are actually costing us??????

Today is the Day of Action before May Day (May 1st). May Day is rooted in the 1880s fight for workers' rights and the 8-hour workday.
In 2025, as Trump attacks workers & the public good, this history isnβt pastβitβs urgent. The history being written now needs you. π
Now we have the answer. The original story was legit then Bezos backed down.

Cuts to Medicaid would decimate emergency services, raise costs, & diminish reliable health care in the nation's capital.
I led a letter with @eleanornorton.bsky.social & Sen. @vanhollen.senate.gov to condemn the impact these cuts would have in our region & beyond.

βYou have cancer.β Those words completely changed my life. 3 1/2 years later, Iβm still here. For 2025, Iβm gearing up to conquer Mt Kilimanjaro for the ZERO Peaks Challenge! Help me support prostate cancer patients & their families by donating and reposting to raise awareness. #ZEROPeaksChallenge
18.12.2024 23:11 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0This is a critical issue. My primary care physician told me from age 45-49 that screening was unnecessaryβ¦ despite me being a Black man with a family history of prostate cancer. Had I started annual screening at age 40, Iβm confident I would have been diagnosed earlier and at a less advanced stage.

Oh, and you can sign up, too, if you're interested. You don't need to be a survivor; all you need is a connection to prostate cancer and a desire to help our community.
ZERO Prostate Cancer is giving 25 individuals an opportunity of a lifetime: walking to the "Roof of Africa" and raising money to support prostate cancer awareness and survivorship programs along the way.
What do you think: Should I accept the challenge and start training for a climb to 19,341 ft??
I've always been motivated by a challenge. Prostate cancer has certainly been a big one, and it's changed my life trajectory in ways that I didn't expect. For 2025, I'm considering a new goal: Summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro.

4/4 There is an urgent need to educate primary care physicians on the need to screen high-risk individuals much earlier than current USPSTF guidelines suggest.
Had I not received that colonoscopy, itβs likely I would have likely developed bone mets before my cancer was discovered.
#prostatecancer
3/4 My biopsy returned 13/17 cores positive, with several cores of Gleason 9(5+4), intraductal carcinoma, and perineural invasion. Imaging also identified pelvic lymph node invasion. My treatment included robot-assisted radical prostatectomy, 39 sessions of IMRT, and 2 years of ADT + ARSI therapy.
22.11.2024 14:07 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 02/4 From age 45 to age 49, I asked my primary care physician every year about PSA screening and was told - every year - that I was too young and it was unnecessary.
A routine colonoscopy at age 49 revealed an enlarged prostate, and follow-on PSA screening resulted in a reading of 225.500 ng/mL.
1/4 π― As a Black manβ¦ and a military veteranβ¦ with a family history of prostate cancer, I can confirm that βPhysician recommendation [is] the strongest predictor of receipt of PSA testing, regardless of sociodemographic grouping.β I was definitely a high risk individual, and this was ignored.
