Would "angry justice" be "retribution"?

That is interesting to think about.

So to see actors who clearly weren't used to that style try and adapt to it was actually a very fascinating process, especially as an actor myself.

More on "Fragrant Flowers", it was actually a nice reminder that there are actual people working behind the scenes to breath life into these characters. Watch enough anime, and you tend to forget that it brings with it a very particular way of speaking in both Japanese and English.

Recently watched "The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity", partially in sub and partially in dub as I've been doing lately. While it was definitely unpolished at times and clearly populated by actors without much experience, I'd rather listen to a messy, human performance than... whatever this is.

Was definitely expecting more given the reputation

The wheel isn't being reinvented here, but damn is it being steered beautifully. Polished animation, appealing and likeable characters and some fine music - all in all, a very solid, comforting vibe. I do hope we get more.

A gorgeous film with a great vibe and soundtrack that unfortunately doesn't really mask the general void of character writing. Beautiful and hollow, this was cool to watch and listen to, but I'd be lying if I said it made me feel much of anything deeper than surface-level.
