Polanski is talking nonsense about wealth taxes.

Polanski is talking nonsense about wealth taxes.

The Spectator (owned by GBNews owner Paul Marshall - estimated wealth of Β£800 million) doesn’t like taxing wealth fairly.

I wonder how they got to this editorial decision?

Let’s tax wealth fairly, fund front line services & make hope normal again.

Maybe there's something in this Nigel Farage and Nathan Gill Russian bribes story....

Nigel Farage on Russia Today.

Nigel Farage on Russia Today.

Glad to see Nigel Farage has finally remembered Nathan Gill, former leader of Reform in Wales - found guilty of taking bribes from Russia.

Maybe he'll now remember how much he took from Putin's propaganda broadcaster Russia Today for all his TV appearances when he was a MEP?

SHOCK POLL:
NIGEL FARAGE WILL BE PM TOMORROW
IN an amazing poll conducted
by The Pointless Polling Company, it was revealed that voters' intentions
may well change over the next three and a half years and at present it's 100 percent impossible to guess what the next government might look like.
However, 99 percent of journalists
agree that it would be much more fun if we had an election tomorrow and everybody resigned and everything was chaos and Farage had a go at being PM, just for the hell of it, because it was so much fun when
Brexit happened and then the government kept falling every five minutes and we could write endless pieces about (cont. p94)

Private Eye offers up an excellently scornful commentary on the relentless polling. It’s become ridiculous and has oversimplified our politics to dangerous levels of stupid and irresponsible.

Polanski expertly dismantling the "rich people will move if we tax them" narrative, while Denham nimbly demonstrates how very patriotic such people are.

A reminder that 75% of people support a wealth tax.

To the β€˜patriots’ saying they’ll leave the country in a strop:

Paying a wealth tax on assets above Β£10m is not a hardship. You'll still have a fancy house, fancy car and a fancy life.

One day everyone will accept Netanyahu to be pure evil. It will be a mainstream consensus. At that point he will be used as a convenient sponge for all the crimes against humanity that have been perpetrated in his time. As if it all started and ended with him. Always remember - it was never just him

I’m not sure why Nuno has such a strong dislike of JWP but
I’d actually consider rotating him with Paqueta.

I'd actually forgotten how extraordinary it is that when I won the leadership - I wasn't interviewed as it was too close to our party conference interviewed.

And then refused a second time!

Part of the antidote to all of this is creating our own media platforms.

Exactly right wrt Paqueta he’ll get frustrated and ego takes over. He’ll hold on to the ball to prove that he can, meanwhile the opportunity to progress the ball is lost as opponents reset defensive shape.

West Ham tumble in modern football’s vortex, with home now a distant memory | Jonathan Liew A feeling of loss and dislocation surrounds the East End club, which has never been part of tourist or establishment London Graham Potter still turned up for work on Saturday morning, even though there was no work left for him to do. A team meeting was arranged, at which Potter announced to general bewilderment that he had been sacked. Potter left. Training was delayed because nobody was available to take it. Eventually the new coach, Nuno EspΓrito Santo, arrived on site and hastily began preparations for the Everton game on Monday. Perhaps on reflection it was inevitable that West Ham United’s big set-piece appointment went the same way many of their set pieces have gone this season. β€œWe’re not West Ham any more,” disgruntled fans have been chanting at recent protests against the club’s ownership, but consider the evidence. A bungled sacking. A fiesta of contradictory leaks and briefings. Chaotic performances on the pitch. A vacuum of leadership and direction. Catastrophic recruitment. An early relegation battle. Fans in open revolt. I don’t know. Sounds pretty West Ham to me. Continue reading...
