Correct! Sir Jon Cunliffe, the author of the investigation, was specifically barred from considering the option of public ownership from the start.

The thousands of people who still responded to the consultation asking for public ownership to be included were therefore ignored.

The Government wants new water laws that lock us into decades of rip-off privatisation - without asking the public.
