Folks, go and get your skin checked regularly! Even the smallest benign-looking mark, can be something serious.
For me, a basal cell carcinoma. Extensive excision but pathology results appear to be good post surgery.

One of the benefits of being at home at the moment, is capturing photos of local birds in the trees just outside. 🦜πŸͺΎ

DSS33 is planned to be the next antenna built in Canberra. There was plenty of talk before I left of it being delayed because of budget restrictions at NASA.

Remember that ALL of the Deep Space Network stations are fully funded by NASA, including Tidbinbilla. If NASA funding for science gets cut, and missions reduced, that will include funding for the DSN. There were already cuts planned for next year even before these possible cuts surfaced. πŸ“‘

Hello everybody πŸ‘‹

Many will know me for my work as a Science Communicator. I formerly worked for NASA’s Deep Space Network station in Canberra.
I am moving on to a new chapter of my life but will always be around to share my love of space exploration.
