I collect plastic trash that has washed up on Texas beaches and turn it into big, colorful sculptures. Each piece tells the story of our ocean and why it deserves protecting. Our goal is to effect change in the making and disposal of plastic.
Nobody brushes their teeth on the beach and tosses the toothbrush in the sand. Yet they wash up all the time. They come from somewhere far away. Where are they coming from and how do we stop it? This is only a small amount that we have picked up in the last 8 years.

This is video from just one of our trips to the beach.
These white barnacles are made from pieces of hardhats lost offshore. We collect them from Texas beaches and turn them into art that tells the story of what ends up in our ocean. 18 billion pounds of plastic hit the water each year, and thatβs just the tip of the iceberg.

Made from thousands of pieces of beach trash, she stands for every sea creature threatened by the 18 billion pounds of plastic that enter the ocean each year. And thatβs just the tip of the iceberg.

Sheβs part of our mission to turn what washes up into art. 18 billion pounds of plastic enter the ocean each year, and thatβs just the tip of the iceberg.
