Iโm standing to be your @snp.org NEC rep in Mid Scotland & Fife.
Scotland needs fresh energy and the courage to bring the wider independence movement together.
If you're going to #SNP25 Conference, vote Kieran MacNeil for NEC - let's reignite hope for independence.

โMoment of unityโ: SNP and Believe in Scotland sign independence campaign deal
THE SNP have signed a deal with campaign organisation Believe in Scotland, marking a significant milestone in establishing a formal partnership toโฆ
I welcome this agreement between the SNP and BiS - a great step towards working with the wider independence movement.
We must bring all pro-independence parties and organisations together.
By working together, weโll make the case for an independent Scotland. ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ

Seizing a humanitarian flotilla in international waters is an act of state aggression and a breach of international law.
Israel must be held to account, and the UK government must act now to secure the release of the Scottish nationals kidnapped by Israeli forces.

For the record: this is not about attacking John Swinney or the resolution. His resolution lays a strong foundation, and the amendment builds on it.
It keeps the SNP at the heart of the independence movement while making sure every pro-independence vote counts.

A Strategy for Independence: Why 2026 Must Be Different
Why I'm supporting the Tweeddale amendment of John Swinney's independence resolution at the SNP Annual Conference.
2026 cannot be treated like 2011. The political landscape has changed drastically, and our strategy for independence has to change with it.
Hereโs why Iโm backing the Tweeddale amendment at SNP conference ๐

Good news from the latest stats: unemployment is falling in Scotland, and remains below the UK.
But Labourโs rise in employersโ national insurance still holds us back, making it harder for businesses to hire.
Itโs a tax on jobs and it must be reversed.

Iโm standing for NEC to make sure our members and activists are heard, branches are supported, and that independence stays at the heart of our movement.
With your support, we can build a stronger party - one focused on delivering independence.

Great to see First Minister @johnswinney.bsky.social in D.C., standing up for Scotland's interests and pushing for no tariffs on Scotch Whisky.
Scotch Whisky is one of Scotland's largest exports and accounts for thousands of jobs and contributes billions to Scotland's economy.

Large bold text reads โThese people agree that Scotlandโs future is for Scotlandโs people to decide.โ Below, handwritten-style text asks: โSo what changed?โ Grey torn-paper design background. SNP imprint along the bottom.
Labour, Tories and Liberal Democrats are all on record stating that Scotlandโs future should be Scotlandโs choice.
So hereโs the question every Scot deserves an answer to - whatโs changed?

John Swinney: Under the SNP, refugees will always be welcome in Scotland
The scenes we have witnessed in recent weeks demonising migrants and refugees have been deeply depressing.ย And while these are clearly the actionsโฆ
๐ข John Swinney MSP: โWhat is more depressing is that the UK Labour Government are so weak, so devoid of values and so out of ideas that they are willing to go along with it in an attempt to secure political gain.โ

The Westminster system made people poorer with austerity and Brexit - and now itโs trying to distract from those failures by scapegoating people who have been through unimaginable hardship.

It is pathetic, it is cowardly and I will have no part in it.

The danger isn't immigration - it's the politics of fear and the hate covered as "concern."
Scotland is better off because of immigration. No lie will ever change that. ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ

"They're taking over."
"They're a threat to women."
"They're not like us."
Itโs the same lies on repeat. Every. Single. Time.
Immigrants aren't a problem to be solved. The real problems are caused by those scapegoating immigrants to hide their own failures.
28.08.2025 17:30 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0
The UK had the ability to return migrants to EU nations under agreements we signed as a member.
The same people now screaming about "floods" of people are the ones who pushed for Brexit and tore up our partnerships.
Their outrage is fake. They want hate and division.
28.08.2025 17:30 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0
๐งต Immigrants are not the problem.
The real issue are those exploiting fears - weaponising immigration under the guise of "protecting women" or "protecting their culture."
Immigration is being used as a political football yet again by those who are responsible for this mess.

This is why the party's internal democracy is so important - so we can debate this openly and get feedback instead of attacking each other because we don't have the same opinion on how to get independence.
The focus should always be: independence, nothing less.
20.08.2025 14:30 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0
We will never break the system with one party ever again. We can, however, use the system to our advantage by voting for other independence parties on the list.
A pro-independence government is great, but having a pro-independence opposition as well keeps us on our toes.
20.08.2025 14:30 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0
We won't get independence because one party demanded both votes which handed seats to unionist parties. We'll get independence because the independence movement worked together.
What happened in 2011 was never supposed to happen, and it'll never happen again.
20.08.2025 14:30 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0
The resolution supported by the 43 branches across Scotland - including mine - recognised this: SNP in constituencies and pro-independence parties on the list. That's how we really build support for independence, not by ignoring the rest of the movement and saying "we know best."
20.08.2025 14:30 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0
They will start rolling back devolution.
That's why Both Votes SNP isn't just flawed, it's dangerous. It doesn't build the movement, it shuts others out.
It wastes pro-independence votes - which could've gone to other parties - and puts our parliament and independence at risk.
20.08.2025 14:30 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0
They weaponise the list vote because they know the SNP will never get seats on the list because of the D'Hondt method.
If we keep handing seats to unionists, we risk a pro-independence minority. And let's face the facts: the unionists will start taking power away from Holyrood.
20.08.2025 14:30 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0
Why must we campaign on a system that is designed to prevent majorities?
The unionists understand this. Thatโs why they vote for their party in constituencies and another on the list.
Why? Because they understand the D'Hondt method and how to make the AMS work for the union.
20.08.2025 14:30 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0
๐งต The SNP must always stay member-led. I am an SNP member and will be until we get independence. I'll campaign for my SNP candidates in constituencies.
But I'll never campaign on "Both Votes SNP." Not because I don't believe in the SNP, but because I believe in independence.
20.08.2025 14:30 โ ๐ 16 ๐ 5 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 2
