Iβm planning to start on this next week! (Thatβs when it first appears out from behind a tree in my backyard at Astronomical dark).

Landscape Photographer, Astrophotographer, husband, dad. Not necessarily in that order.
Iβm planning to start on this next week! (Thatβs when it first appears out from behind a tree in my backyard at Astronomical dark).

15.09.2025 18:05 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Confession time: I did exactly this when I deleted a table meaning to delete some rows. Fortunately, it was in a test environment, but it cost our off-shore dev team a day of work because I never noticed and couldnβt fix it until the next morning.

WR-134 in Cygnus. The blue circular nebula is the outer shell of an extremely hot star that has been blown away by the starβs intense radiation pressure. #astrophotography.
13.09.2025 22:04 β π 204 π 42 π¬ 4 π 1I love how this color palette really brings out the subtle wisps of dark nebulosity within the bright areas.
7 hours and 10 minutes of exposure time over 4 nights in August 2025, and a considerable amount of hours on the computer went into the making of this image.
The techniques I've been learning involve mixing color channels and using color masks to target adjustments to specific areas of the image. This is the color palette used in a lot of Hubble images.
17.08.2025 16:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I've spent the last couple of days learning some new processing techniques for my astrophotography. The North American and Pelican Nebulae were photographed using a dual narrowband filter that records light from Hydrogen gas as reds and Oxygen as blues. #astrophotography

In my continued effort to see how far I can push my landscape photography gear for astrophotography, Iβve found that I can actually get quite a lot out of it! Presenting the Orion and Running Man nebulae. #astrophotography #fujifilmXT-3
06.03.2025 15:19 β π 10 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Is there chocolate available within a 30 mile radius? Because if so, Iβm suspecting a lack of commitment.
04.02.2025 19:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I so wanted to capture the transit of Io last Saturday night with my C11, but family obligations got in the way. Very nice work!

17.01.2025 18:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβm sure youβve seen images of the occultation of Mars by the moon that happened last night. Here is a sequence of images I made of the event from just before occultation to just after Mars reappears.
