I know, that is the global situation as well. I was just referring to the electrical grid, as described in that article. I am not Australian, but visited last year. Spent time in Wollongong, a coal and steel city (family relations there). Coal is still king there.

Interesting then that the South Australian energy system is de-carbonizing even if carbon-based companies seem to be so powerful there. Simply because it is much cheaper.

The reproduction of reason in an individual can and often will go wrong if somebody grows up in an irrational, ideological environment, e.g. a racist or religious fundamentalist milieu. This is cultural, not natural.

On the contrary, I think it is less nature and more nurture. There is no such thing as complete innate reason. Reason must be brought forth in each individual through education and generated in culture as a whole through a historical process, which is one of the main tasks of philosophy.

Nice old danceband highlife from the times of musicians like E.T. Mensah, the Ramblers Dance Band etc.

In the 1980s, there was a Ghanaian band called "Dagomba" (Vincent Arthur as band leader) in Hamburg/Germany which I heard many times. They played their own brand of Afro Beat but also a lot of old fashioned wonderful Highlife. One of their regular tunes was Yaa Amponsah, in a version with vocals.
