This Veterans Day I want to acknowledge the Black veterans of WWII who fought fascism and nazism and came home to fight for civil rights and democracy here. New research shows Black veterans were critical in securing the voting rights currently under attack.

So, my guy Fetterman is one of Dems who caved. He’s not running for re-election.

It feels like doing this after the tremendous Dem victories was a choice. Like they were giving the appearance of opposition, but now that they’ve won, they don’t have to do that anymore.

The history of this country is riddled with losses. Welcome to the history of Black Descendants of Enslaved Americans. The entire idea that we are on an arc that bends toward justice is a myth. We simply try to move forward and create the path for the future. But know this—- We must never give up.

Every federal worker who has been clocking in without pay, every protestor who showed up for No Kings, every voter who turned out for Dems Tuesday, every community member confronting SS ICE in our streets - all of us braver & better than these "leaders."

My colleague calls Congress "the complaint department for capitalism." Every 2 or 6 years, we make believe 'we the people' choose our leaders, & we can call customer service hotline (Congressional switch board) to lodge complaints. All while real bosses actually billionaires.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

He's demanding that states which just rushed to fill the vacuum created by his cruelty "undo" that work.

Ask him why so many air traffic controllers are retiring at once. Ask him if it has anything to do with Reagan firing 11K union strikers in 1981 and having to replace them all at once. Ask him how the mass firings this year will impact us the same way 40 years from now. Ask him, Jake.
