My favourite (not) 4th party member was when Leon came back with absolutely consequences for his actions.

Magic the Gathering card, Commune with Beavers, which depicts Guy from FFII speaking with beavers as he does in the game.

So good, his beaver scene has a MtG card!

Questions I had during my playthrough of FFII: Why is the torso of the sprite for Maria, a teen girl, basically just boob? Why are the Prince and Princess so quick to leave the fate of the world with 3 children? Why is the final battle SO HARD when I had 4x boosts on throughout?

It's really hard to objectively criticise Final Fantasy (I), tbf. The influence of this game is even more obvious once played, not just for spawning a franchise that dominates the RPG genre, but setting the blueprint for turn-based RPGs. I feel like I've experienced a piece of history.
