The disappearing art gallery in your post office The U.S. Postal Service is home to thousands of historic works of art in post offices nationwide. Hundreds have been lost, sold or destroyed.

👀 What if I told you there was a hidden art gallery scattered across the country?

What if I told you some of its treasures had vanished?

What if I told you that I found them?

An abandoned pair of wooden structures tucked into a forested area. One is a larger cabin‑like building with weathered boards and the other is a smaller, more dilapidated shed. They sit just beyond a guardrail and a narrow body of water, with dense evergreens rising behind them.

5. So if non-citizen voting isn't a problem, what's the point of this bill? Easy: to make it harder for people to vote who don't have easy access to their proof of citizenship.

Prosecutors Began Investigating Renee Good’s Killing. Washington Told Them to Stop.

I have been musing about the hypothesis that the ultimate consequence of SCOTUS's opinion in Trump v. U.S. will be the destruction of the rule of law in the U.S. This gift article helps to explain why, in part by emphasizing the evisceration of the Dept. of Justice.

NBC editing out the booing of JD Vance is a disgrace. It’s an international event. Americans have the right to know what the world is saying. NBC has bowed down to Trump.

The Trump Administration wants us to think of Trump's racism as a character flaw grandpa sometimes sadly lets express itself too aggressively, when the reality is that the white nationalism is the governing, organizing logic of his administration that all Republicans are complicit with.

Put another way, the lesson Trump has learned is that he can please his overtly white supremacist base by tweeting out that video about the Obamas, and he can also please Republicans like Tim Scott and Susan Collins by keeping all of the racist policies but just deleting that one racist post.

it's a little funny to see the freakout over the virginia maps when the justification that Texas gave for its new maps - which never went to voters for approval - was "trump won a mandate in 2024 so we need to enshrine that new reality into our maps, sorry Dems, deal with it."

Gladys Mae West obituary: mathematician who pioneered GPS technology She made key contributions to US cold-war science despite facing huge barriers as a Black woman.

No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.

Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...

Every president from Nixon on released their tax returns, but Trump -- who insisted he would follow that custom -- repeatedly refused to do that. So finally they were leaked, showing he paid only $750 in 2016 and nothing in 2017.

He's now demanding all of us, who *did* pay our full taxes, pay him.

There is a ton of literature on lawyers in Germany in the 1930s who thought they could handle it, maintain their morals, "assist from inside", or avoid blame while working for the Reich. They couldn't.

Medgar Evers’ killer was a Klansman, but Trump administration says stop calling him a racist - Mississippi Today Among anticipated changes to a new visitor brochure for the Medgar & Myrlie Evers Home National Monument is no longer using "racist" to describe the killer of the civil rights leader.

Civil rights activist Medgar Evers was shot in the back by a Klansman in 1963.

Heads are going to explode 💥

Cato Institute just nuked the lie. Immigrants have cut U.S. deficits by $14.5 TRILLION since 1994, slashing the national debt by a third.

All that “immigrants are bleeding us dry” noise? Absolute bullshit.

The president, when asked about the survivors of the sex trafficking ring run by his best friend the pedophile, ignores the question and instead lashes out at the "young woman" who asked it, saying she never smiles and is someone to be ashamed of.

I don't know if non-lawyers understand how insane this statement is. I honestly can't think of anything remotely comparable in non-lawyer speak. I guess the closest would be a surgeon saying "Imagine if I had to wash my HANDS before doing surgery!"

One by one, Europeans mentioned in the Epstein files who still hold political office are beginning to resign or are being forced out of office.

Meanwhile, ruled by an administration almost entirely made up of Epstein associates, the US carries on as if nothing really happened.

The president just openly declared his plans to steal the midterm elections — in an interview with the former number two person at the FBI.

“Republicans ought to nationalize the voting”: Trump eyes radical power-grab Those concerned about democracy don’t have the luxury of simply shrugging with indifference to the president’s latest conspiratorial nonsense.

Four weeks ago: Trump floated the idea of canceling future elections
Three weeks ago: “When you think of it, we shouldn’t even have an election”
Yesterday: “The Republicans ought to nationalize the voting”

But it’s not just rhetoric: all of this has come against a backdrop of concrete action.
