What happened to the independence of the BBC? There was a time when the official political opposition was so weak, the BBC took it on to expose political corruption and defend the people. It has never been allowed to do that since. It is now divided and conquered.

It is with shock and genuine sadness that I learn of the passing of my good friend, long time colleage and just a really kind man, Quentin Willson. He will be sorely missed by many who knew and worked with him.

Exactly. Reform get incredible exposure from the BBC. Liberal Democrats and Green Party seem to not exist. Selected appointments of Governors and Directors General over the last 30 years have changed the BBC's political stance from neutral to right-wing. Alistair Milne must be turning in his grave.

2. £5000? Jeez, at least make a fossil-fuel executive think twice about wanting to be on a board. Add at least another 3 zeros, don't accept the money and then call them out.

You are, Robert. I say that with 100% confidence because I am right too. I have my own driving evidence of 35+ years in ICEVs and 10+ years in BEVs. The improvement of the BEV over the ICEV is night and day obvious.

Been saying it for years, the BBC is moving further and further right-wing. And it's all down to the fact that the then truth seeking Corporation wouldn't back down on exposing Margaret Thatcher's unjust policies back in the day. The Tories decided to turn on the BBC from that point onward.
